Mold
can grow at an exponential rate within 24 to 72 hours of initial water
damage.
When an area continues to stay
saturated, that’s when the lethal molds, such as Stachybotrys,
move in. Call Malot Environmental, Inc. for a home or business
inspection. Basic Stage One Inspection costs less than you think…
and isn’t your peace of mind worth it?

When is
Mold Dangerous?
Mold is dangerous
when we ingest, touch, or inhale it.
We encounter many species of mold
everyday, and generally, they do not cause any health issues. But
excessive mold exposure may increase the severity of allergies such as
hay fever or asthma. Some molds are dangerous enough to pose serious
health problems, particularly in higher risk individuals, like infants
and children, the elderly, or persons suffering from a weakened immune
system. That’s why experienced professionals in mold detection and
removal are needed now more than ever. What is Mold?
Mold is a fungus and accounts for
approximately 25% of the biomass on Earth. There’s even more spores in
the soil. Various species of mold have been around since the dawn of
humankind and have likely been the cause of a great deal of human
suffering. It hasn’t been until very recently, however, that exposure
to mold and other fungi have been identified as a possible cause of
adverse health in humans.
Harmful Molds
The most serious and dangerous molds
are: Stachybotrys, Cladosporium, Aspergillus, and Penicillium.
These molds produce mycotoxins. It’s on indoor environments,
especially on industrial and residential materials such as wood chips,
paper, framing, and other products, that these mycotoxins
persist.
Only a HEPA respirator can protect someone from inhaling
these toxic spores. Only a trained inspection firm like Malot
Environmental can help
you identify and remove toxic spores.
Mold is everywhere.
In the air we breathe there can be over 1,000 spores per cubic yard.
Stachybotrys produces trichothecene
mycotoxins known as satratoxins. These toxins may lead to
pathological changes in animal and human tissues.
